The Digital-3 consists of three individual micro-machined (MEMS) silicon accelerometers in custom digital over sampled 5th order sigma-delta force feedback loops. The MEMS sensors are orthogonally mounted and automatically compensate for gravity which allows operation in all orientations. The tri-axis Digital-3 accelerometer incorporates a decimator / filter chip (CS5376A) with MEMS Si-Flex technology to provide an integrated solution for seismic measurements.
